When thinking about a parents rights to their children the first word that comes to mind must be “complicated”. We appreciate that in many cases children are born from relationships where the parents never married and when the relationship ends the parents are left with uncertainty on how to proceed with visitations and rights of contact.
The Children’s Act provides that parents may approach a Children’s Court to assist them with applications to regulate the primary residence, visitation and rights of contact to children.
Our offices can assist parents to make sense of this process and to assist them with a better understanding of their rights and obligations towards their children. We are also able to assist with the drafting of Parenting Plans, Applications for visitations and Applications for primary residence of children.
We assist parents in the following Children’s Courts:
Vanderbijlpark Children’s Court, and
Vereeniging Children’s Court
